Thamel bazaar, restaurants and bar

Activities: This is your first day in Kathmandu. After your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will receive you and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel. There you will be briefly explained about the trekking that will start from tomorrow. Explore the city for the rest of the day and prepare for your trek.

Activities: After Breakfast, our guide will pick you from your hotel to get bus to Sybrubensi. Sybrubeshi is the trek starting point of Lantang Valley Trek. Leaving crowded Kathmandu around 7:00 am and passing through Thankot,the main exit of Kathmandu Valley towards east and west of Nepal. Once you leave boarder of Kathmandu, drive downhill with view of beautiful terrace field and country side life style. When you are driving for Langtang valley trek on the clear day, you will see range of Manaslu in the far distance that gives you mountainous vibe in the beginning of your journey.

Once you reach Galchi, you will follow the Trishuli river on the opposite direction till Trishuli Bazar. Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh, Jugal Himal and Langtang will welcome you at Trishuli Bazar. Move towards Dhunge and we will stop for lunch there. The road after Dhunche to Kalikasthan is gradual uphill but it offers stunning view of river valley on your back. This part is one of the beautiful and relaxing drive during Lantang Valley trek.

It is a scenic drive towards Dhunche from kalikasthan however road is a bit bumpy. This part gives you real taste of hilly settlement in Nepal. Pasing through Ramche and Grang , you will reach Dhunche, a district head quarter of Rasuwa District. Before we reach main market area of Dhunche, we need to register our National Park Permit. Most of the time, military will ask to open your bag to make sure that you are not carrying any restricted goods. Drone are not allowed inside National Park unless you have proper permit for it.

After few minutes’ drives, you will cross the Trishuli River, that originated from a holy lake Gosaikunda. Leaving dhunche on your behind and continue to follow Pasang Lhamu Highway to reach Sybrubesi. Before you reach Syabrubesi , you will encounter a Chilime Hydropower that started to serve in 2003 AD. Syabrubesi is gate way of Langtang Valley trekking, Tamang Heritage Trail and Langtang valley trek with Gosaikunda Trekking. You may meet many tourists stopped before they head towards mountain.

Once you check in at Lodge, our guide will take around the Sybrubeshi. We will do small walk up to the stupa attached on the left cliff of the Village. It would be best idea to see whole Sybru Village with Bhotekoshi and Langtang River. On this occasion, you can try to walk with walking stick. It is like a warm up for tomorrow.

Activities : Once we have breakfast, we start our trek towards Lama Hotel (2,480m). Approximately 5–7-hour walking through lush forests, crossing suspension bridges over the Langtang River Takes us Lama Hotel. The trekking trails passes through Pahiro, Bamboo(1970m) and Rimche (2400m) and may offers view of red pandas, wild bee hive, Langoors and waterfalls. Today trails offer lots of climb, Climb of Rimche is much notable before we reach Lama Hotel. Lama hotel is very basic but peaceful settlement before heading to Langtang Village.

6:30 AM: We will have a good breakfast and be prepared to start the first Trek Day of Langtang Valley trek.

7:30 AM: Make sure that you haven’t left anything behind at lodge before you start your trek. For sure, our guide will scan your room and dining too. Passing through main Bazar area, we will cross the suspension bridge than meet a beautiful monastery within a few minutes however not much time to explore. The Natural trail is on the left of the Langtang River that gives you beautiful view of Langtang River with Great Sounds. The trail is narrow and have some ups and down but easy one. Before you reach, Tiwari, we will have small stoppage near bank of the Langtang River. Here, you can touch and fell the Langtang River. People make MANE for successful trip.

8:30 AM: Reached at Tiwari.Tiwari has couple of Tea Shop that offer other drinks too. Once we cross the TIWARI suspension bridge, we meet the road on the other side. Some people, love to walk on the road rather than natural trail. After few minutes’ walk on the road, Ganesh Himal and Paldor peak can be seen on your back whereas towering hills will be there on your front. On the same spot, you will see water fall on your right that fall from top of the cliff.

9:15 AM: Reached Domen. Domen is our first break spot where can have tea and some cookies. If you feel, it is early to have tea we can go more further at Pahiro. The Acute Climb and Gardual down from Domen takes you at Bank of The Langtang River that flowing on gorge of a big hills left and right. Little Climb Takes you Pahiro. It is good place to stop and have tea with sounds of Langtang River During Langtang Valley trekking. Keep Moving on the trail and passing through forest. Several ups and downs with pleasant walk take you Bamboo.

11:50 AM: Reached at Bamboo (1,970m): Lunch Break. Bamboo is a beautiful place that surrounded by Bamboo Forest. It is little higher than Langtang River but can see and hear river. While you are waiting for your food, you can scan cliff and forest for some wild animals like Langoor Monkey, Mountain Goat, Red Panda and wild bee hive. With happy belly, we start our walk towards Lama hotel. It is Gradual up and down with easy trail till suspension bridge than acute climb to Rimche. In between, you need to cross the landslide zone where an Israeli trekker lost the life during earthquake 2015.Just need to be extra careful while crossing. Keep pushing forward to reach Rimche.

3:00PM: Reached at Rimche(2400m). Your hard work gives you result. From Rimche, you can see valley down and have some rest before walk down to Lama Hotel

3:20 PM: Reached at Lama Hotel (2,480m). Lama hotel has very basic type of lodge however you can have hot shower.

Activities : Today we are entering to wide Langtang valley. After breakfast, your guide will lead the trek towards Langtang Village and takes around 7-8 hour slowly. Trail gradually ascend through dense forest including rhododendron before we reach more wide valley of Langtang. Once you passes Ghodatabela (30,30m), the valley shows wide faces with stunning views of Langtang Lirung(7,227m and trail penetrate through yak pastures with small village before reaching Langtang Village. Langtang village is a traditional Tamang settlement re-constructed after big collapse by Avalanche created by earthquake 2015.

6:40 AM: Breakfast. Make ready your duffle bag and come down at dinning for breakfast.

7:30 AM: Leave Lama Hotel. The day will start will little climb with big tree around. The happy birds and river provide you pleasant atmosphere while walking through forest. Crossing a small wooden bridge and counting Rhododendron flower tree is joyful too.

8:08 AM: You will see scattered view of Mt. Langtang Lirung then gradual down towards Langtang River. If you climb on the rock to see better view of Mt.Langtang Lirung but not highly suggested to do so. Playing hide and sick with Mt. Langtang, you will not realized that you have reached River Side.

9:30 AM: Reached at River Side. It is place where you can feel river and mountain together. Can see Mt. Langtang Very Clearly where as can touch the Langtang River. People love to have small break and have tea with beauty of Langtang Valley Trekking Route. Leave the river side, passing through Woodland, Chhunuma and rhododendron forest takes you near Belly Bridge. Leave the original trail and cross the Belly bridge before you start more climb. Once you done with climb you will reach more open spot with Rhododendron and pine bushes. Couple of ups and down trails take you Ghoda Tabela.

12:00 PM: Reached at Ghoda Tabela: (2,800m). Ghoda Tabela is a lunch spot for Day 3 of Langtang Valley Trekking. When we reach Ghoda Tabela the trail enters green meadows, and we can see the Langtang Range stretching on both sides of the valley. Walking on, the valley widens, and we can see locals grazing their livestock on the high summer grazing spot. Gradual up with open trails takes you Thangshyap. There is some acute climb just before you reach at Thangshyap.

13:25 PM: Reached Thangshyap. It as couple of lodges there have some rest and keep moving gradual ups and from this place you will find bushes only. Now you have crossed the tree line. At Tsarting, Local People may offer you fresh yak curd and sea buck thorn juice. Leaving it and walking ups and down takes you Chyamki. Chyamki have tea house and bakery available, it could be good stoppage before you reach Langtang. Keep continue to walk on gradual up trail.

15:00 PM: Reached Gumba Village. Can see Langtang Village very near from here. Walk down to meet avalanche that was fall down during earthquake 2015. After 10-minute walk on rocky trail, you need to cross wooden bridge to reach the place where old Langtang village was settled. It is great lost that whole villages were collapsed during giant avalanche fall during earthquake 2015. Hundreds of people lost their life, on that incident. If you see on the left corner, you will see one survived during that big lost.

15:40 PM: Reached Langtang Village (3,430m). Check in at Lodge. If you are comfortable, can explore Langtang village.

Activities : Today is shortest day of Langtang Valley Trekking Route and it is decorated with Buddhist monument like chortens, prayer flags and Mane wall with Mantra craved on top of them.

Yak Grazing land and Watermills are another attraction of Today’s trail along with never lost mountain views in front of us. 3 Hour Walk on heavenly trail takes you Kyanjin Gompa and have enough time to explore around. Once you have lunch, can explore around Monastery, Cheese Factory and Lake on the left of the Village.

7: 00 AM: Breakfast

7:40 AM: Leave the Langtang and walk-up hill. After 10 minutes you will see long MANI wall and Chorten with Mt. Gang Chhepu and Dorje Lakpa where you will a sharp peak,Baden-Powell Scout Peak -5700m on your right.

8:14 AM: Reached Mundum (3550m) : Mundum is a small settlement with couple of lodge and can experience magical surroundings.

11:30 AM: Reached at Kyanjin Gompa (3870m). Once you complete the check in and lunch, can walk around. Ancient Kyanjin Gompa, Cheese Factory, Yak pastures and outstanding view of Mt. Langtang Lirung are key attraction of the place. If you are in good condition, we can hike up to the lake near Gompa.

The overwhelming scenic seen and roller-coaster experience will make this tough climbed make this hard upward hike very much worth it! Once you captured beautiful experience, we will descend and move towards Kyanjin Gompa.

7:30 AM: Once have a good breakfast. Leave Kyanjin Gompa towards Tsergo Ri with pack lunch and enough drinking water. In the beginning we walk in gentle trail.

8:30 AM: Start to Climb towards Tsergo Ri Top. You may feel quite difficult in beginning but try to move forward with your own pace.

10:15 AM: Complete the first ascend and walk 30 min in flat trail with beautiful mountain view around than following the acute steps. It could be little windy but you don’t feel that much cold in sunny day.

11:45 AM: Reached Tsergo Ri(5030m). Oww, you have done a great hike and kissed the top of the Tsergo Ri. It is the highest altitude you gain in this Langtang Valley Trekking. You will forgot all struggle that you have done while coming up with the stunning view of 20 peaks around including Mt.Langtang Lirung,Mt.Gangchhepu, Mt. Dorjelakpa, Mt. Shishapangma. Not only it offers panoramic mountain view but also frozen lake, whole Langtang Valley and Yak Pastures.

12:30 AM: Have food that you have carried from Hotle then Descend down towards Kyanjin Gompa. Getting back to base is always challenging, you need to be extra careful while descending too. Don’t rush yourself to reach hotel quicker.

3:00 PM: Reached at Camp with great memory of the Day. Congratulations.

Every step takes you far away from Mountain, it is beautiful walk back on same trail. You are walking on same trail, but what you feel is totally difference. Slowly and steadily takes you home in good condition. Relax and enjoy the beautiful valley before you penetrate the forest to reach Lama Hotel. In between, we will stop for tea and lunch.

Activities: Once we had Breakfast, we start walk towards Thulo Syphru located at altitude of 2,210m. The trail goes down gradually through forests of oak, Bamboo, rhododendron and others. The trail continues along the Langtang River a little beyond Paharo, then rises sharply on an uphill climb to Uchyang Danda.

From Uchyang Danda, the trail continues gradually uphill along an easy path before descending to a suspension bridge. After crossing the bridge, the route follows a further downhill section, then climbs steadily up to Thulo Syabru, our overnight stop for the day.

Another interesting day of our Langtang-Gosaikunda with Surya Kunda Pass trekking adventure starts as we travel towards the sacred Gosaikunda Lake, a holiest site for Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. Out of the 108 glacial lakes exist in this region, Gosaikunda is the biggest and most valuable.

Once we have breakfast, we begin with a gentle climb towards Cholangpati. The trails offer outstanding glimpse of Mt.Annapurna, Manalsu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang and the distant Tibetan ranges. This part of the trail passes through thick rhododendron and pine forest, offering a great chance to see the unique Kalij Pheasant- a Himalayan bird. Leaving Cholangpati behind, the trails gradually ascend with concrete stairs towards Lauribina, a famous places for a refreshing drink while eye witnessing the view of magnificient panoromas of Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Annapurna South, Mt. Manaslu, and Mt. Langtang Ri.

Once you got good time at Lauribina, we continue towards the Buddha temple, marking the hardest yet most beautiful part of the day. The Viewpoint is a ideal among trekkers for its parallel 360-degree Himalayan Vistas. Activities : Today is another interesting days of the Langtang Gosaikunda with Surya Kunda Pass Trek. After early breakfast, we start our trekking by walking around the peaceful Gosaikunda Lake. The trail is gentle with well maintain till Trishul Dhara. Trishul Dhara is the spot where lord Shive dove his trident to get water.

The trail gradually climbs towards Surya Kunda pass (4610m) via Ganesh Kunda. Till Ganesh Kunda, the trail has uphill and stairs then mostly flat till Suryakunda Pass. As you work hard, the trail rewards mesmerizing view of Langtang Himal, Manalsu, Ganesh Himal and even the distant Annapurna range.

After crossing Surya Kunda Pass, we start a long and acute descent towards Phedi, where we stop for a well-deserved lunch. The trail gradually directs us through beautiful mountain landscapes, offering views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.

After lunch, we continue our hike toward Ghopte. This part of trekking route winds through lush bamboo and juniper forests, with several ups and downs that add both challenge and beauty to the journey. The pristine forest setting and the sound of nature make this part of the trek worthy.

Activities: Once we had Breakfast at Ghopte, the day begins with many shorts uphill and downhill through dense rhododendron, bamboo and Pine forests. In the beginning you climb gradually to reach Tharepati(3640m) and it offers outstanding views of the Langtang, Dorje Lakpa and Jugal mountain ranges.

Afterward from Tharepati, the hiking trails starts descending through forests and small settlements. You will walk through Mangen Goth(3420m) and Chisapani Danda, continuing down to the beautiful village Kutumsang. The Downhill rewards you with views of hilly landscape, Tamang Villages and the distant peaks around.

As you walk continue, the hiking route gradually descends toward Chisapani, ideal viewpoint known for magical sunrise panoramas over the Nepal high Himalayan ranges. It is absolutely pleasant stay before we head back to Kathmandu.
