Activities : After waking up we will pass through small villages like Sirdibas, where paths are decorated by prayer flags and stone walls. Soon we will reach Philim, one of the larger villages in this area which is known for its long mani walls and stunning views of the valley. The route atmosphere becomes peaceful as it enters to the lush bamboo and pine forests with Budhi Gandaki River flowing below the trail. This part of the walk feels refreshing and serene, offering the feeling of quieter side of the Manaslu Circuit Trek.

The trail leaves the main Manaslu route and takes a turn toward the entrance of Tsum Valley after reaching the Ekle Bhatti junction. After a short climb, we will arrive at Lokpa, the first village of the valley. Lokpa Village feels remote and untouched with a quiet atmosphere and breathtaking views of Shringi Himal. Here we will spend overnight by ending our day and preparing for our next day journey deeper into the hidden Tsum Valley.

After an uphill climb for a while, we will reach to Chumling village, a small village which has Tibetan influenced houses and rich cultural traditions. Here we can explore Panago and Gurwa Gompa which are the first glimpse among many spiritual sites on this trek. From here you can witness the stunning views of Shringi Himal and distant view of Ganesh Himal. We will spend the overnight in Chumling and prepare for the next day’s trek to Chekampar.

Along the way we will stop at Rachen Gompa, an important monastery and nunnery in this region, home to more than 80 nuns, famous for its spiritual environment. From here, the trail gradually climbs to the place called Nile. Nile is a remote village near the Tibetan border where Buddhist culture and tradition are strongly influenced by Tibet. Activities : After waking up we start our hike from Nile to Mu Gompa, the highest and the most important monastery in the Tsum Valley trek located at an altitude of over 3,700 meters. Along the way, trekkers will enjoy the serene landscapes, lush forests and towering mountains. This region is also famous for Yarsagumba, the rare and highly valuable natural medicine which is traded locally.

Mu Gompa is an important monastery and a key center of Tibetan Buddhist Culture which is home to the many monks devoted to spiritual practice. Visitors are surprised by the beautiful morals of Buddhist deities including Tara and Guru Rinpoche (Padamsambhava) and even might get a chance to join a traditional ritual or lighting an oil lamp for their loved ones. As this monastery is surrounded by majestic peaks, the monastery’s spiritual atmosphere creates a truly memorable experience for trekkers.

After exploring we will spend our night at Mo Gompa, if possible, neither we will return to Nile for an overnight stay, preparing for the next day of the Manaslu Circuit with Tsum Valley Trek.

The hike to Chumling is mostly downhill, making it quicker and easier.

After some hours of walking we will arrive at Chumling, a charming village, surrounded by forests and serene landscapes. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Shringi Himal and distant view of Ganesh Himal. After spending a days in the higher and more remote parts of the valley, Chumling starts to feel more welcoming and alive as we descend to lower altitude. Here we will spend an overnight before continuing our trek down toward Lokpa and Deng.

After few hours of hiking we will reach to Deng, a small village situated between cliffs and the riverbanks. Deng is a peaceful village with comfortable tea houses where you can rest and enjoy the traditional meals. We feel that landscapes begin to change here with higher hills ahead, signaling our hike to the main Manaslu Circuit Trek route and the adventure that lies beyond.

Trekkers will spend the night here while enjoying the scenic beauty of Namrung village with warm tea and local tasty meals.

Activities:After having breakfast, we will start our hike from Shyala to Sama Gaun. Along the way you may spot herders with their yaks and eagles soaring above us which makes us feel like walking through a Himalayan postcard. After few hours of hiking we will reach at Sama Gaun located at an altitude of 3,530 meters. It is one of the largest and most important villages on the Manaslu circuit Trek, featuring traditional stone houses, ancient monasteries and plenty of smiling faces. Here you can rest for the day ahead, explore the place or enjoy the panoramic mountain views. Sama Gaun is perfect spot to stay longer for acclimatization before heading higher to the Birendra Lake or Manaslu Base Camp.

Activities : Today is both an exciting and important part of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. From Sama Gaun we will start hiking toward the Manaslu Base Camp which is situated at around of 4,800 meters (15,748 feet). The hike begins through pine forests, crossing rivers and passing Birendra Lake, a stunning glacier lake with shimmering blue water. From this point the trail becomes steeper, with snowy and rocky paths leading toward the base camp, offering breathtaking views of glaciers and tall peaks. This optional hike is a perfect for acclimatizing, as it helps your body to adjust in high altitude and preparing you for the challenges ahead.

Upon reaching Manaslu Base Camp, you will be standing at the point where climbers begin their journey to the summit of the eighth highest mountain in the world (8,163 meters). Activities : Our trek for today is from Samdo to Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi) which is a short trek but very important for acclimatization before crossing the high Larkya La Pass. After having breakfast in Samdo, we begin our trek through a steady climb and crossing the Budhi Gandaki River via a wooden bridge. Along the way, you will pass through a historic Larke Bazaar, an old trading point where Nepalese and Tibetan traders used to exchange salt, wool and even yaks.

After a steady ascent we will reach Dharamsala at 4,460 meters, a simple but welcoming stopover which is surrounded by Rocky Mountains and glaciers. Here, you can enjoy your hot meal and rest for proper acclimatization. Activities : Today is the most challenging yet rewarding day of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. We wake up early and after having breakfast our trek starts, climbing through rocky and snowy paths toward the Larkya La Pass at 5,160 meters. As we ascend higher the scenery becomes more dramatic, offering a breathtaking view of Himlung Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. Upon reaching Larkya La Pass, we can find that the pass is covered with colorful prayer flag which is truly an unforgettable moment and brings a strong sense of achievement.

After spending sometime at the top and enjoying a light snack, now it’s time to descent. The trail down is long but incredibly beautiful, passing through Pongkar Tal, a beautiful glacier lake and the Salpu Danda Glaciers, famous for its dramatic ice formations and panoramic mountain views. This part of trek requires careful walking as the rocky descent paths can be challenging. Activities : After a peaceful night in Bimthang, our final day trek in Manaslu-Tsum Valley Trek begins. We descend through scenic alpine meadows and vibrant rhododendron forests. As we cross the peaceful Dudh Khola River the trail becomes alive with birdsong, fresh mountain air and the stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Along the way you will pass through small villages like Karche and Gho where rugged highland terrain and traditional stone houses highlight the unique lifestyle of the region. We will stop at Tilije for lunch before continuing our journey.

Along the way from Tilije we pass through lush forests, rich in biodiversity where you may spot monkeys and deer. After few hours of walking we will arrive at Dharapani at 1,860 meters.
